Matt Andrews
Physiotherapist
Matt is an experienced Physiotherapist with a degree from the University of Sydney and extensive experience across diverse clinical settings, including private practice in multiple countries, hospitals and neurosurgical units.
His experience includes work with teams and athletes from Parramatta Eels rugby league, Waratahs rugby union, Gordon Rugby Union and Quicksilver surfing.
Matt specialises in rehabilitation, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neurosurgical management, and ergonomic assessments, providing personalised care for each patient. Matt is passionate about helping individuals restore movement and improve function, with expertise in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, sports injury management, and post-surgical recovery.
He works with his patients to develop strength and mobility programs and is committed to ongoing education, staying current with the latest advancements in physiotherapy. Matt focuses on injury prevention and effective rehabilitation strategies, fostering strong, supportive relationships with patients. Whether treating athletes, office workers, or surgical rehabilitation, he is dedicated to helping patients lead pain-free, active lives.
Outside of work he enjoys kayaking, hiking and spending time with his family.

Emma Warner
Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist
Emma is an Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Titled Neurological Physiotherapist with decades of significant experience in neurological and vestibular rehabilitation.
She graduated from The University of Queensland and has worked in hospitals, community and private practice both in Queensland and the United Kingdom, providing evidence-based physiotherapy to clients presenting with dizziness and other neurological conditions.
Emma has developed special skills in the rehabilitation of dizziness and balance dysfunction and utilises infrared video technology to assess dizziness presentations in the clinic. She is undertaking research in concussion and is very interested in its recognition and management, particularly after falls. She also works in education as a Lecturer in Physiotherapy and enjoys teaching the next generation of Physiotherapists, as well as educating about concussion management.
Outside of work, Emma enjoys family time, travel and keeping active through swimming, pilates and walking.

Jake Melvin
Physiotherapist
Jake is an experienced Physiotherapist who graduated from the University of East Anglia in the UK. He has gained extensive expertise through work in private practices, rugby clubs, and hospitals.
Jake specialises in Sports and Musculoskeletal injuries, pre- and post-operative rehabilitation, orthopedics, and respiratory care. He is also competent in dry needling and has experience working with DVA, work cover, and pediatric clients.
Passionate about helping people recover and return to activity, Jake focuses on improving movement and function for clients with long-term conditions or recovering from illness. He collaborates with clients using goal setting and personalised treatment plans to achieve optimal results.
Outside of work, Jake enjoys running, cycling, and triathlons, as well as watching sports, movies, traveling, and socializing with friends.

Suraiyah Mohammed
Physiotherapist
Suraiyah is a passionate physiotherapist who has been working for SPEARS Health on and off since 2021, in between travelling to and from Sydney.
She has 10 years of Physiotherapy experience having graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 2014. She enjoys gym based rehabilitation, musculoskeletal manual therapy mixed with exercise prescription. Suraiyah has had a lot of experience working in Auckland Sydney and Brisbane within aged care, community based services, gym based rehabilitation and clinical settings.
Suraiyah’s hobbies entail gym training, playing with her kids, reading, hiking, being in nature, beach days, swimming, travelling and eating out with family. She enjoys a good chat with clients from all different walks of life and loves to learn about different cultures and perspectives.

Hollie Wood
Physiotherapist
Hollie is a qualified Physiotherapist from the UK who has recently relocated to Brisbane and joined the team here at SPEARS Health. Hollie is passionate about helping people return to their functional and performance baseline following various musculoskeletal injuries plus educating people on how to improve their overall general fitness. Hollie has a keen interest in musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation.
Previously, Hollie has gained a range of experience in an acute hospital trust in the UK working within ICU and Respiratory care, Musculoskeletal injuries, Neurological (plus acute-stroke) Physiotherapy, and community based rehabilitation for those struggling to move back home after a hospital stay and falls prevention.
Outside of work, Hollie is currently training for her first Marathon and enjoys staying active by exploring new hikes at weekends and attending her running club.

Esther Ferris
Physiotherapist
Esther graduated from the University of Birmingham in the UK as a qualified Physiotherapist in 2020.
Her specialties include musculoskeletal conditions with experience working with the Ministry of Defence in the UK and veterans in Australia.
Esther has a keen interest in sport rehabilitation working closely with a local Rugby League team.
With a background within a falls prevention service and exercise promotion for those with chronic conditions and the elderly.
Outside of work Esther enjoys spending her weekends finding new hikes in and around Brisbane, playing in a mixed netball team and she is part of a boxing gym.

Claudia De Git
Physiotherapist
Claudia's first five years as a physio were in Brazil. This is where she gained invaluable experience with a variety case load with Intensive Care Units, Outpatient Musculoskeletal Clinics and Community Rehabilitation.Having the opportunity to treat clients with acute neurologic conditions, incontinence issues and musculoskeletal conditions.
After Claudia moved to America to further enhance her education as an international student. In 2011 Claudia migrated to Australia and has since been working with caseloads consisting musculoskeletal rehabilitation and older adult clients.
Claudia enjoys working with different modalities of treatment to further enhance her patients results such as manual therapy, electrotherapy and therapeutic exercise.
Outside of work Claudia loves to spend time with her family and dance!

Michael Pennfold
Exercise Physiologist
Michael is another arm of the exercise physiology team at Spears health, coming on board back in 2021. Michael has over 10 years experience working as an allied health professional and across his time, he has had the opportunity to work with clients from all walks of life.
This exposure to wide array of musculoskeletal conditions, cardio metabolic disorders, mental health and neurological concerns has allowed him to develop a keen sense of what to do and how to do it. Appreciating that everyone has their own goals, capacities, motivations and abilities and the important role that these focuses can play with respect to creating plans and programs that will actually be actionable to reap both short and long term physical and mental well being.
Personally when not in the gym floor, you’ll find him “perfecting” his golf swing poorly or living out his sporting dreams vicariously through his young children.

Erin Marshall
Exercise Physiologist
Erin has been with us at SPEARS Health since 2021.
Erin's experienced working with a range of areas including musculoskeletal conditions, neurological rehabilitation and falls prevention.

Jake Furlonger
Exercise Physiologist
Jake is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and has been a member of the SPEARS Health team since 2021.
Jake enjoys working holistically to help people reach their goals, whether they are rehabilitation focused or performance focused. He has an interest in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and working with mental health.
Jake has experience working in gym based settings, allied health clinics and inpatient mental health facilities, and has worked across a wide range of conditions from cardiac and metabolic health to mental health and musculoskeletal conditions.
Jake is a big fan of rugby union and cricket, and enjoys hiking and travelling.

James Pannam
Exercise Physiologist
James is a dedicated Exercise Physiologist with a strong background in athletics, movement, and performance.
With over 16 years of experience in competitive sports, he has developed a deep understanding of training, injury prevention, and rehabilitation.
He specialises in helping individuals improve their fitness, recover from injuries, and enhance overall well-being through evidence-based training and rehabilitation strategies. Whether working with athletes or those managing chronic conditions, James is committed to empowering others to move better, feel stronger, and live healthier lives.
James enjoys taking time to get away camping and hiking where possible, with an interest in further overseas travel.

Jeanette Genis
Exercise Physiologist
Jeanette is a dedicated Allied Health Practitioner with extensive experience in working with diverse populations, including individuals with complex disabilities, high-level athletes, and elderly clients.
With a passion for improving quality of life, Jeanette has developed a deep understanding of the unique needs of each group, tailoring interventions to enhance mobility, strength, and overall well-being.
Jeanette's expertise in rehabilitation, injury prevention, and age-related conditions has enabled them to create personalised care plans that foster independence and promote optimal health outcomes. Committed to providing holistic care, Jeanette combines evidence-based practices with compassionate support to help clients of all ages achieve their goals and live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
Outside of work, Jeanette currently enjoys Crossfit as a means of exercise along with swimming and gymnastics training.

Matt Wiseman
Exercise Physiologist
Matt is an ESSA-accredited Clinical Exercise Physiologist with a background in personal training and a passion for helping people improve various aspects of their health through exercise. He takes an evidence-based approach, helping clients with musculoskeletal rehab (injuries, pre/post surgical care), chronic pain, cardiorespiratory fitness, strength training, and elite sport performance.
Matt believes in mastering the basics before progressing, a philosophy that has helped thousands of clients achieve their goals.
Matt specialises in advanced testing services, including:

- Resting Metabolic Testing
- Hydration Testing
- VALD Performance Testing and Analysis
Fun fact: Matt personally built and positioned every machine in the 4PX gym—so be sure to admire his handiwork next time you're in!
Outside the clinic, Matt enjoys the outdoors, with surfing, cycling, and tennis his go-to activities, plus playing rugby.

Harry White
Exercise Physiologist
Harry is a qualified Exercise Physiologist who recently joined the team at SPEARS Health as a new graduate from QUT in Brisbane.
His passions are in musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation, where he focuses on optimising functional capacity and improving quality of life through evidence-based practice. With a strong belief in preventive care, Harry emphasises the importance of education on general health, fitness habits, and chronic condition management and prevention.
Harry has experience working with a wide range of neurological and musculoskeletal conditions across diverse clientele, from pediatric care to the elderly population. His expertise includes stroke rehabilitation, ASD, intellectual impairments, Type II diabetes, osteoarthritis, and joint replacements.
Outside of work, Harry enjoys playing tennis, footy, and strength training at the gym. He has set a personal goal to complete his first marathon in 2025. With a passion for cooking and nutrition, Harry is always eager to learn new recipes, tips, and tricks.
